Today the family ventured out to Watson Lake with the canoe. Trent and Fort paddled for a while, and then they decided to go for a swim. Failing to notice the "Swimming Prohibited" sign clearly posted at the waterfront, they proceeded to swim the entire lake. Meanwhile, Grandma Guerin, Paloma and I watched patiently from the shore, as Grandpa tried to chase them down in the canoe. Good times!

Uncle Fort
Uncle Fort came out from D.C. this weekend to meet Paloma. He held her, played with her, and even helped give her a bath. He also brought her some TOTALLY CUTE clothes that he was very proud of himself for picking out - size 4T. He was suprised to learn that Paloma does not have teeth, she can't talk (we had told him that she was very advanced for her age), and that the clothes he bought her (hopefully) won't fit for at least three years. Well, at least he found something she doesn't already have. Thank you for coming to visit, Fort. We miss you already!

Paloma's first mini break
Paloma has had a very exciting and eventful week. She took her first road trip on Wednesday, when we left for Prescott. Since the weather is so nice up here, we've been able to take her out a number of times. She has been to the mall (twice!), target, the town square, antique shopping, and even the farmer's market. And she has done so well each time (she has shopping in her blood on both sides of the family!). Here she is all dolled up for a day (well, 2 hours) on the town.

And here she is all tuckered out after one of her excursions.

Palomita Preciosa
My friend Michelle came up again this weekend and took some precious shots of Paloma. I love them!!! Can you believe she's even more precious in person?

There are more of these lovely portraits on Michelle's website.

Uncle Andy
My brother made a suprise visit today from Michigan. Actually, he's working in Vegas and had a 2 hour layover in Phoenix, so we picked him up at the airport and brought him home to meet Paloma. Though his stay was VERY short, it was long enough to get a few smirks and smiles from his beautiful niece. She really liked him!
