Building with Bapa

Grandpa Goodsell made Sweet Pea these beautiful blocks, and yesterday he gave her an introductory lesson (Blocks 101: stack them as high as you can, then laugh really hard when they fall down). Paloma had a different approach: don't let Daddy and Grandpa stack them, and laugh really hard when you knock them down.

Thank you for the blocks, Grandpa! Love, Paloma.

Sweet Pea and Ziza go to CA

We took our first official road trip with Paloma last weekend. We went to San Diego with our friends, the Clines (Eliza and her mommy and daddy). See the wonderful time Sweet Pea had...
at the pier,

eating good food,

strolling around Sea World,

relaxing with Daddy in the hotel,

eating some more,

visiting the animals at the San Diego zoo,

hanging out with Eliza,

and snoozing in her stroller (this hasn't happened in over a year!)

When we finally arrived back home, Paloma didn't even want to get out of the car.

So grown up

Our little girl is really growing up. Look at her reading by herself...

and changing baby...

Work and play

Grandma and Grandpa Goodsell were in town today. Grandpa and Daddy worked hard laying wood flooring in our bedroom, while Grandma and I went shopping. After Grandma and Grandpa left, Paloma did a fashion show for Daddy, while he finished the floors. This is one of the pretty dresses Grandma bought.

Another pretty dress, and a VERY pretty floor

A pretty skirt

Yay! Another pretty dress, and a not so pretty floor. I hope we can do Paloma's room next.
