Sweet Pea and Mimi: May 2007

Happy Birthday to Papa Tucson!

We drove down to Tucson this weekend to celebrate my dad's birthday.

Papa liked the present we gave him (new shoes),

almost as much as he liked tickling Sweet Pea.

Sweet pea REALLY liked picking, washing, and eating carrots from Papa's garden.

She also liked dressing up in Grandma's necklaces, of course.

Mimi liked cuddling with Grandma,

and getting her picture taken.

Concert in the park

The Clines invited us to the park the other night for a concert. Sweet Pea, Eliza, and Henry had a great time dancing and playing in the grass, while Mimi and the grown-ups just kicked back and enjoyed the music.

First swim

Mimi took her first dip in the pool (well, Jacuzzi) last weekend. She seemed to enjoy herself, but we couldn't get her to smile for the camera.

Splash

The weather is certainly heating up, so it's time to hit the splash pads. Last weekend Cole and Chase introduced us to a nice new one in Fountain Hills.

Nice ride

It's crazy, I get more comments on this pretty car seat cover than I do the beautiful cargo. People are funny that way.

A Very Happy Mother's Day

We had the nicest Mother's Day up in Prescott this year. Not only did Trent and I enjoy TWO date nights (thanks to Grandma and Grandpa), but on Sunday we all enjoyed a nice picnic at a vineyard in Chino Valley.

While Papa, Daddy, and I enjoyed the wine tasting, the highlight for Sweet Pea and Grandma was definitely the resident peacock.

Mas mariposas

Sweet Pea took another recent trip to the Desert Botanical Gardens to see the butterflies. This time she went with Grandma and Papa.

She was so excited, she wore her butterfly shirt, butterfly pants, AND butterfly sandles. She loves those "cute" butterflies.

Of course, Mimi also looks like my mom, although not quite as much as Sweet Pea does.

Learning to share

Today we made a behavior chart so Sweet Pea could work on sharing, as well as some other important things like table manners and listening. I think sharing is going to be a tough one, but I'm happy to say that Paloma earned her first sticker today for sharing with her friends at play group.
