Say "Cheese" !

Girls Day In

My mom and her good friend, Cheryl, and Cheryl's granddaughter, Alexandria, came up to visit again last weekend (Alexandria is Paloma's age, and she has come to visit us for the last 3 summers now). We had a nice "Girls' Day In", playing, having lunch, and playing some more. These are some of the cute pictures my mom took...

Paloma and Alexandria really like each other and they played so well together. It's been fun to see them interact as they get older.

Mommy's helper

Sweet Pea loves to help take care of her sister. And she is having so much fun helping feed her now.

Mimi's loving it too.

"Sissy got her ears pierced!"

It took Paloma all of 2 seconds to notice that her sister got her ears pierced. She was SO excited about it. Now the girls have matching sparkly earrings.

After piercing Paloma's ears at two-and-a-half, we decided it would be MUCH easier to do Amelia's now. We don't even have to wrestle her down to clean them. :)

Beauty in Braids

Sweet Pea actually let me braid her hair this morning (while she ate breakfast and watched cartoons). It looked absolutely adorable. This was quite an accomplishment considering I usually have to fight just to brush it.

Another trip to the museum

With the weather pretty much unbearable now, the museum has become a favorite playdate destination for Sweet Pea and her friends. Last week we meet Natalia and Sofia. Mimi and Sofia actually enjoyed "playing" in the baby area too.

Did you know the "Sit and Stand" stroller can actually hold 3 kids?!

Yummy yummy yum!

Mimi had her first taste of "food" this weekend. At first she wasn't so sure about the rice cereal,

but within just a few bites, she was trying to feed it to herself.

Finger-licking good

Go to the December 2004 archives to see Sweet Pea tasting her first bite of rice cereal.

Father's Day Fun

Daddy enjoyed opening his gifts. (Sweet Pea helped, of course.)

We visited the Prescott zoo (yes, they actually have a zoo there).

We stopped to play and relax at the bookstore.

Happy Father's Day!

We love you so much, Daddy! You are the best!

(I couldn't choose just one of these :)

5 months old - already!

I just can't believe how fast our little girls are growing up! Amelia is already 5 months old now.

She loves the view from her exersaucer.

Paloma's 1st day of school

Sweet Pea started preschool yesterday. At first she was a little bit clingy and wanted daddy to hold her,

but as soon as she saw all the toys and kids, she made herself right at home.

We're so proud!

Sweet Pea and Noah sitting in a ... sea shell

We met Noah and his baby sister at the museum on Tuesday for a play date. Paloma and Noah were so excited to see each other, they walked around holding hands. And then when it was time to say goodbye, Noah gave Paloma a big hug and she kissed him. It was so sweet because we didn't even tell them to do it!

(That's baby Helena in the carrier. She's only a couple months yonger than Amelia, so I'm certain they will become great friends as well.)

Swimming time

Sweet Pea has started her swim lessons again this summer. This time the parents don't have to be in the water. Here she is showing off her Spiderman technique to her classmates.

Just finishing her first class, she's very proud of herself.

All wrapped up "like a tortilla"

Abs of steel

Amelia is doing her pilates again. (She does these little crunches everytime we lay her down on her back.)

This quilt was actually my baby doll quilt when I was little. Isn't it pretty? And now I have a real live baby doll to enjoy it. Boy does life just fly!

Playing with Mimi

Sweet Pea really enjoys "playing" with her little sister.

And Mimi just loves to watch her.

She loves to watch the toys too.
