Grandma time at G2

I think that Thursday evenings are Grandma Guerin's favorite time of the week because she gets to hang out at the gallery with her two favorite girls.

I know that Sweet Pea always looks forward to it too.

Go B-Backs!

Paloma recently went through a cute phase (instigated by Grandma Guerin, of course) where she had to do a "B-Backs" cheer every time she sat on the potty. It went like this...

Let's go, Let's go, lets G-O.
Let's fight, let's fight, let's really fight.
Let's win, let's win, let's really win.
Let's go, fight, win.
Go D-Backs! (except she pronounced it "B-Backs")

Now that she's fully potty trained, we thought her cheer might be put to better use at an actual D-Backs game.

Perhaps we have another cheerleader in the family? (Sorry Daddy!)

This was Mimi's first and Sweet Pea's second game. It was actually pretty fun, although it was way past Amelia's bed time, so she got a bit squirmy (which is her version of fussy).

Happy Half-Birthday to you, Mimi!

We love you so much, you perfect, adorable little sweetie. And we can't believe that you are already 6 months old!

At your 6th month doctor visit today, you weighed 15lbs and measured 26.5 inches tall. You are in the 75th percentile for height and the 25-50 for weight. You'll probably be tall and lean like your daddy. Lucky you! You eat rice cereal and oatmeal, as well as peas and carrots. And today you even tried apple sauce. You seem to like it all, especially if you can get ahold of that spoon and try to feed it to yourself (so messy!). You are a very good little sleeper too, usually going to bed between 7:00 and 8:00, and sleeping for about 10-12 hours. You almost always wake up in a good mood. I hear you talking in your crib around 6:00 or 7:00am (you say "ahgah" a lot, as well as "dzzzzzz"). You still don't have any teeth or hair, but your head is perfect, and it's much easier to bathe you that way.

And you are almost sitting up on your own now.

You are SO beautiful, and have such a beautiful personality. Everywhere we go, people comment on what a beautiful baby you are. I simply smile and say, "I know".

The Prescott Rodeo

We also celebrated the 4th at the Prescott Rodeo, which has become one of our many Prescott traditions.

Sweet Pea looked so adorable in the cowgirl dress Uncle Fort bought for her (when she was born ;-)

Riding on Papa was much better than riding on a horse.

Mimi enjoyed her ride too.

Speaking of independence...

Sweet Pea helped Daddy make a really yummy and festive cake to celebrate the 4th.

And both girls dressed the part to show their USA pride.

Little Miss Independent

It has been very challenging to feed Amelia, since she insists in taking the spoon and doing it herself. If I don't want to make a GINORMOUS mess, I must hold her hands while feeding her.
