Mimi goes to Chicago

Amelia took her first big trip on an airplane recently. We went to Chicago for Trent's cousin's wedding. And though it was a bit stressful traveling with both girls, everyone seemed to have a really nice time, and it was the perfect opportunity for Mimi to meet the family.

Here's Mimi on the airplane. Both she and Paloma were very good girls on on both flights.

Mimi met her Auntie Gayl. It was love at first sight.

Paloma LOVED playing with her 2nd and 3rd cousins, especially Carly and Trinity.

Mimi played with her cousins too. This is Trinity's baby sister, Ellie. She is only a month or so older than Amelia.

Grandma enjoyed spending lots of time with her girls too. Can you tell that Trent and I didn't have to do much parenting during our trip?

We took lot's of family pictures.

Some silly ones too, of course. (That's Uncle Fort in the wig.)

Mimi grew some hair while we were there. Ha! Not really, but she did get her first tooth! (And she already has 2 more!)

Pretty Girl series

My parents were up the other weekend and, of course, my mom took so many adorable pictures of the girls. I couldn't pick a favorite, so here are several...

I like this one because you can also really see our pretty new floor.

Isn't she sweet

Puzzle master

We have been so amazed at how good Paloma is with puzzles. She absolutely LOVES them. She got this really cute one for her birthday from her friend Cole. And after doing it just a few times with help, she can now do it completely by herself.

Mimi likes to "help".

Some things never change

Paloma still enjoys going for a ride in the jogger. Mimi is growing fond of it as well.

Get ready!

This picture was taken at least a month ago. Amelia has been pulling herself up and cruzing the furniture for a while now. And just this week she stood by herself on two occasions. I am afraid that she will be walking very early.

Big girl bed

OK, I'm a bit late at posting this exciting piece of news, so most of you probably know that Paloma is finally sleeping in a big girl bed. (I think it's been about a month now, so the crib is already a distant memory). Here are some cute pictures of proud Sweet Pea in her new bed.

This is one of the last pictures we took of her in the crib (Note: Paloma was totally obsessed with these Strawberry Shortcake sunglasses for a couple of weeks. She wore them everywhere, even to bed.)
